On the evening of July 21, another round of powerful storms and winds took down trees and power lines in Montgomery County. The Philadelphia region witnessed an inch-diameter hail, and trains were delayed on almost all of the SEPTA Regional Rail lines. Nearly 80,000 utility customers lost access to power. The National Weather Service Office posted multiple reports of downed trees as well as hail on both sides of the river. However, the storms and winds did manage to wipe away a bit of the Wester wildfire smoke that has plagued the skies over Philadelphia and the nation, too. Watch the video here.
