Thunderstorms and heavy rains have hit a portion of the Wasatch Front in northern Utah. A Severe Thunderstorm Warning was sent by the National Weather Service. In addition to Salt Lake, portions of Davis, Weber, and Tooele counties were also warned. According to the NWS, “urban and small stream flooding” as well as gusty winds may still occur. Flooding has also taken place in multiple areas including downtown Salt Lake City and Tooele. Portions of freeways and many other highways across Utah have also been fully or partially closed because of the flooding. Watch the video to learn more.
