According to the National Weather Service, a ninth tornado struck Pennsylvania and New Jersey. On August 1, forecasters confirmed that an EF-1 tornado with winds peaking up to 90 mph occurred in the Weisenberg Township area of Lehigh County. The tornado not only uprooted trees but also caused minor roof damage. Forecasters also added that an EF-2 tornado in the Washington Crossing Historic Park region near New Hope, Pennsylvania, crossed the Delaware River and reached New Jersey’s Mercer County.
